The first plan for today was to finish dying the fabric that we had made for the peacock tail, which in the end we had to blow dry because the material of the mob heads just dripped everywhere- both me and my friend had green hands that day!

While we waited for them to dry, we added more things to the front of the dress- a blue zip down the front, with green tiles alternating on the sides of the zip. This took the emphasis off the fact that It was a sack, and more to the blues and greens of the customization's we had made to the dress. Here are some pictures of the finished front of the dress.

The front of the dress was now finished- now it was time to tackle the back. We had previously tied the back together with the ribbon I described on a previous blog entry, and so we then cut out the excess material from the back of the dress- and I glued in the leg of an old pair of jeans, which made it look more smart and gave it some contrast, whilst keeping up with the pre decided colour scheme. Under that I tied in some blue netting to make a nice train that reached the floor, to make the tail part stick out even more.

The next part was to attach the dyed mop heads, we bunched them together and attached them to the middle back of the dress, then we put some more blue netting on the back of the dress, the mop heads added some volume to the dress, and gave it a victorian esque finish, poofing out at the back nicely- with the colors and theme of the peacock still there. We also put a small line of netting at the front of the dress so there wasn't any of the threading ends of the sack visible, with some small stars at the hem too.
