Today the morning was spent planning and making final arrangements for the impending dolphinholme trip, which everyone was excited about the artistic opportunities that would be available there. It would also be an amazing opportunity to get to know the people I wouldn't normally perhaps get to know, and to experience working in a foreign environment, perhaps prompting epiphanies that wouldn't present themselves in a stereotypical class environment. Then in the afternoon, much to my delight we had a film screening, this week it was Wes Anderson's 'Rushmore.' I was already fairly familiar with this film because I used it as a supplementary text for my A Level media exam.Made in 1998, the film is very different to something that would be made now, and I was intrigued by the auteur style of Anderson- his camera angles and his partnership with Owen Wilson, first in Bottlerocket and then in this film.
