Not being a particularly good drawer, I was quite skeptical of attending the drink and draw. I did decide to go however because I firmly believe that inspiration can come from anywhere and when I had thought about it I had never really got a chance to draw something in an alternate environment. All in all I was not too perturbed by the fact that my drawings were not up to a standard I would like them to be, I was just glad I had gone because it was good to discuss my peers work with them and offer constructive criticism and of course get it myself on my work.
The model this time was Ginger la Rouge, a burlesque dancer who first posed in different ways for different lengths of time which was very challenging because it put you under pressure to draw quickly, which made mistakes in my case. But I found it easier to focus on elements of her which didn't change, like her outfit, necklace and shoes and drew them instead, making more time for me to take my time.
